Day 1 - Wineries of the Valley


grapepickSPick up ex Adelaide, Depart Adelaide by 8.00 am.Travel by road, through the Adelaide Hills, following a scenic route to the famous Barossa Valley for morning tea amongst the vines.

On the way you will marvel at a unique engineering feat, the Whispering Wall. Over 100 years old and it still whispers voices clearly.


Winery Tours
A chance to gather fine wines for your stay on Southern Yorke Peninsula.
Morning tea at Chateau Yaldara, a beautiful, winery nestled in a private valley surrounded by picturesque postcard vineyards.
The Chateau sits proudly, perched on a hill overlooking the North Para River. Walk the vines and Chateaus’ grounds and tempt yourself with a little wine tasting.

Follow the winding road through the vineyards of the Barossa, to the world famous Jacobs Creek region.
We visit the Jacobs Creek Winery Visitors Centre.

Nestled on the banks, surrounded by vines. Known to be the first commercial vineyard of the Barossa, established in 1847,  by Johann Gramp.

wineglassSYour choice of lunch, maybe a picnic amongst the vines,
or some fine Barossa cuisine, complimented with the perfect wine, from one of the many quality award winning restaurants.

We travel to Saltram Wines, located on the edge of Angaston amongst the rolling hills, covered in vines. Founded in 1859 by William Salter, another winery steeped in history that produces top quality wines for the consumer. Enjoy more wine tasting and view the beautiful surroundings.

The Barossa Valley is a diverse, growing area and also produces a range of fresh fruit and vegetables.
A short visit to Angas Park Fruits, where you can select from a wide range of quality, dried fruits and nuts is a must. A great photo opportunity as we head to Menglers’ Hill Lookout, which offers the best panoramic views of the vines in the Valley.

Depart the Barossa and travel through the cereal belt of the mid north region, following the coast road to the beautiful Southern Yorke Peninsula.

accomm1Your deluxe beachfront accommodation at Point Turton offers fabulous views, overlooking the Azure Blue waters of Hardwicke Bay.
Opposite is beautiful, Magazine Bay, a great place to have a swim or just relax.  The rocky reefs in the bay provide a safe habitat for a range of marine life, take a snorkel and get up close.

Tonight’s evening meal at The Tavern on Turton.

 

 

Day 2 - Tour of Turton

 

turtonBreakfast is available at the Tavern on Turton from 9.00 am.

Spend the morning exploring Point Turton, walk the boardwalk, visit the Ceramic Art Gallery, try your luck fishing off the jetty or just relax on the balcony and watch the Dolphins frolic in calm waters.

Try a tasty witchetty grub for lunch from the local Bakery.

Spend the afternoon at beautiful Magazine Bay.
Swim or snorkel, and get up close to our local marine life.
The private beach offers white sands and polished pebbles, a great place to kick back and relax. Enjoy some dried fruits and nuts over a bottle of Barossa wine.

Day 3 - Cruise the Coast

as you take a sea adventure around the rugged coastline of Southern Yorke Peninsula.”


Early Light Breakfast provided as we have an early start.

Depart 6.30 am

We travel by road to Innes National Park where we meet up with our local Boat Charter operator. Once on board, we follow a beautiful, rugged coastline passing sheer cliffs of honeycomb colour, long stretches of white sandy surf beaches and shipwrecks of a bygone era.
We explore unique, windswept land formations. Around the islands of Southern Yorke Peninsula you will see seals sunbaking on giant granite boulders. Watch the dolphins leap from the aqua blue waters as they chase the boat.
Why not catch tonight’s meal, try deep sea fishing.

Lunch is provided on board.
Arrive back on land about 4.00 pm.

Tea at the Award winning Marion Bay Tavern, Fresh fish of the day !

Enjoy an evening under the stars.

 

 

Day 4 - Spectacular Innes Tour


innes“Explore the Southern oceans’ natural beauty at Innes National Park”
Southern Yorke Peninsula.


Breakfast supplied.
Late start, travel to Innes National park for the day, visiting many scenic locations offering rugged honeycomb coloured cliffs, secluded romantic bays and white sandy surf beaches.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a tea tree bush setting.

Explore the natural beauty this region offers with a bushwalk through pristine bushscapes.
Be surprised by some of our local wildlife.
Spend the afternoon at a secluded bay and cool off in the pristine waters. Take a walk along never ending white, sandy, surf beaches.
Listen to the awesome power of breaking surf from the swell of the Great Southern Ocean.

An evening BBQ will be provided on the beach.
Watch the sun set in the west over the ocean.
Be amazed at how many kangaroos you will see with a Nocturnal tour, on the way back to your accommodation.

 

 

Day 5 - Azure Blue Waters & White Sands

Spend the morning on Flaherty’s beach.
South Australia’s alternative to the famous Cable Beach, located in Broome, W.A
A white sandy secluded beach, offering azure, blue waters that form heated ponds as the tide retreats. The beach offers calm waters, providing a peaceful and safe environment for swimming, beachcombing, or just relaxing.

Lunch on the beach.
Fresh seafood and a glass of bubbly.

Depart for Adelaide 2.00pm
Arrive Adelaide 5.00 pm.
